2. About Boiler Academy‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy provides practical educational content, online courses, live sessions, downloadable resources, community support, and in-person training for gas engineers, heating engineers, plumbers, apprentices, electricians, F-Gas engineers, and other trade professionals or learners.‌‌‌‌

Our training is designed to improve practical understanding, diagnostic confidence, fault-finding ability, servicing knowledge, safety awareness, business confidence, and professional development.‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy does not present itself as a Gas Safe registration body, awarding organisation, college, university, government-approved certification body, or regulated training provider unless this is clearly stated in writing for a specific course, programme, or qualification.‌‌‌‌

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Boiler Academy courses are for educational and professional development purposes only. They do not replace legally required qualifications, Gas Safe registration, ACS assessment, manufacturer training, electrical certification, F-Gas certification, insurance requirements, employer supervision, or any legal permission required to carry out gas work, electrical work, F-Gas work, plumbing work, or other regulated trade activities.‌‌‌‌

3. Eligibility and Professional Responsibility‌‌‌‌

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a course, create a paid account, attend in-person training, or use our professional training services.‌‌‌‌

If you are under 18, you may only access our services with the involvement and consent of a parent, guardian, college, employer, training provider, or authorised supervisor, where appropriate.‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for ensuring that you hold the correct qualifications, registrations, licences, insurance, supervision, experience, and legal authority before carrying out any practical work.‌‌‌‌

You must not use Boiler Academy content as permission to carry out regulated work unless you are legally allowed and competent to do so.‌‌‌‌

You agree to follow all relevant laws, regulations, safety standards, manufacturer instructions, approved codes of practice, industry guidance, employer procedures, and site-specific safety requirements when carrying out any trade-related activity.‌‌‌‌

4. Important Training Disclaimer‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy provides educational guidance, practical learning resources, and professional development support.‌‌‌‌

Our content may include explanations, demonstrations, diagnostic methods, fault-finding strategies, technical examples, worksheets, quizzes, case studies, and practical scenarios. These are provided for learning purposes only.‌‌‌‌

You must use your own professional judgement and must always follow:‌‌‌‌

  • Current UK laws and regulations;‌‌‌‌
  • Gas Safe Register rules and guidance where applicable;‌‌‌‌
  • Health and Safety Executive guidance;‌‌‌‌
  • Manufacturer installation, servicing, and repair instructions;‌‌‌‌
  • British Standards where applicable;‌‌‌‌
  • Electrical safety requirements;‌‌‌‌
  • F-Gas requirements where applicable;‌‌‌‌
  • Your employer’s policies and procedures;‌‌‌‌
  • Insurance and competency requirements;‌‌‌‌
  • Site-specific risk assessments.‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy is not responsible for any unsafe, illegal, negligent, or unauthorised work carried out by a learner, member, student, engineer, contractor, employer, or third party after viewing or using our training content.‌‌‌‌

Nothing in our courses should be treated as a substitute for formal assessment, supervised practical training, manufacturer instructions, legal compliance, or professional competence.‌‌‌‌

5. The F.L.A.M.E. Method™‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy uses the ‌‌‌‌F.L.A.M.E. Method™‌‌‌‌ as part of its training approach:‌‌‌‌

  • F: Fault Identification‌‌‌‌
  • L: Logical Analysis‌‌‌‌
  • A: Assessment of Components‌‌‌‌
  • M: Methodical Repair Planning‌‌‌‌
  • E: Execution & Testing‌‌‌‌

The F.L.A.M.E. Method™ is a structured educational framework designed to help learners approach fault-finding and diagnostics logically.‌‌‌‌

It does not guarantee that a learner will correctly diagnose every fault, pass a formal examination, become legally competent, or gain authorisation to work on regulated systems.‌‌‌‌

You must always combine any training method with real-world competence, legal compliance, manufacturer guidance, safe working practices, and professional judgement.‌‌‌‌

6. Account Registration‌‌‌‌

To access certain courses, memberships, resources, mobile app features, or community areas, you may need to create an account.‌‌‌‌

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your account or making a purchase.‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must not share your username, password, login link, course access, mobile app access, or member account with any other person.‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account unless you can show that your account was used without your permission and not because of your failure to keep your details secure.‌‌‌‌

We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe that:‌‌‌‌

  • You have shared access with another person;‌‌‌‌
  • Your account is being used by multiple users without permission;‌‌‌‌
  • You have breached these Terms and Conditions;‌‌‌‌
  • You have acted abusively, dishonestly, unlawfully, or unsafely;‌‌‌‌
  • Your use of the platform creates a risk to Boiler Academy, other users, or third parties;‌‌‌‌
  • You have attempted to copy, distribute, resell, or misuse Boiler Academy content.‌‌‌‌

7. Course Access and Delivery‌‌‌‌

Course access may be provided through the Boiler Academy Learning Hub, website, mobile app, embedded videos, downloadable resources, live sessions, third-party platforms, email links, or any other delivery method chosen by Boiler Academy.‌‌‌‌

We aim to provide reliable access to our courses and resources, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability of any website, platform, mobile app, video, file, or digital system.‌‌‌‌

We may update, improve, reorganise, replace, remove, or restructure courses, lessons, resources, modules, videos, quizzes, community areas, mobile app features, or learning pathways at any time.‌‌‌‌

Where we make significant changes to a paid course, we will try to ensure that the course continues to provide substantially similar educational value.‌‌‌‌

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security updates, technical improvements, mobile app updates, platform migration, content updates, or circumstances outside our control.‌‌‌‌

8. Online Courses and Digital Content‌‌‌‌

When you purchase an online course, membership, downloadable resource, or digital product, you are purchasing a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your own learning and professional development.‌‌‌‌

You do not own the course content, videos, downloads, diagrams, quizzes, resources, templates, mobile app content, or intellectual property.‌‌‌‌

Unless we give written permission, you must not:‌‌‌‌

  • Copy, reproduce, sell, resell, rent, licence, share, publish, upload, or distribute our content;‌‌‌‌
  • Record, screen-record, download, extract, scrape, or duplicate video content unless downloading is clearly provided as a feature;‌‌‌‌
  • Share course files, worksheets, templates, PDFs, quizzes, or learning materials outside your own account;‌‌‌‌
  • Use Boiler Academy content to create competing courses, training programmes, websites, videos, communities, resources, apps, or commercial products;‌‌‌‌
  • Remove Boiler Academy branding, copyright notices, watermarks, or source references;‌‌‌‌
  • Give access to your course, membership, or mobile app account to another person;‌‌‌‌
  • Use automated tools, scraping tools, bots, or software to copy or extract platform content.‌‌‌‌

Any breach of this clause may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without refund and may lead to legal action.‌‌‌‌

9. Mobile App Terms‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may launch a mobile app or mobile-access learning system in the future. These Terms and Conditions will apply to your use of that app unless separate app terms are published.‌‌‌‌

The mobile app may include features such as course access, videos, downloads, notifications, community access, quizzes, certificates, booking links, event reminders, saved content, progress tracking, or member-only resources.‌‌‌‌

You agree that:‌‌‌‌

  • Mobile app access may depend on your active course access, membership, or account status;‌‌‌‌
  • Some features may only be available on certain devices, operating systems, or app versions;‌‌‌‌
  • We may update, change, remove, or replace app features at any time;‌‌‌‌
  • We may require you to update the app to continue using it safely;‌‌‌‌
  • We are not responsible if your device, operating system, storage, internet connection, app-store account, or settings prevent you from accessing the app;‌‌‌‌
  • Offline access, if offered, may be limited, temporary, or removed at any time;‌‌‌‌
  • Push notifications, reminders, and alerts may be optional and may be managed through your device settings;‌‌‌‌
  • App-store providers may apply their own terms, policies, privacy rules, and technical requirements.‌‌‌‌

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, interfere with, bypass security, extract content from, or misuse the Boiler Academy mobile app.‌‌‌‌

If the mobile app is made available through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace, your download and use may also be subject to the terms of that marketplace. Boiler Academy is not responsible for app-store decisions, app-store outages, device restrictions, marketplace fees, or third-party platform rules.‌‌‌‌

10. In-Person Training and Practical Workshops‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may offer in-person training sessions, workshops, demonstrations, small-group training, practical learning days, and related educational events.‌‌‌‌

In-person training is subject to availability, location, tutor availability, minimum and maximum attendee numbers, safety requirements, and any specific terms provided at the time of booking.‌‌‌‌

You must arrive on time and follow all safety instructions given by Boiler Academy, trainers, venue staff, or supervisors.‌‌‌‌

You must not attend practical training if you are under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, medication, or any condition that may affect your ability to participate safely.‌‌‌‌

We reserve the right to refuse participation, remove a learner from a session, or end practical involvement if we reasonably believe there is a safety risk, disruptive behaviour, abusive conduct, or a failure to follow instructions.‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for bringing any required identification, PPE, tools, documents, or evidence of competence requested before the session.‌‌‌‌

Unless clearly stated otherwise, attendance at an in-person Boiler Academy session does not grant you a regulated qualification, Gas Safe registration, ACS certificate, electrical certification, F-Gas certification, manufacturer accreditation, or legal permission to carry out regulated work.‌‌‌‌

11. Real-World Training Opportunities and Site Visits‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may, at its discretion, arrange or introduce real-world observation opportunities, site visits, shadowing, discounted service projects, practical demonstrations, mentoring sessions, or supervised learning opportunities.‌‌‌‌

These opportunities are provided for learning and experience only and may be subject to additional checks, availability, suitability, safety requirements, insurance requirements, customer consent, mentor approval, or verification.‌‌‌‌

You must not attend a live site, customer property, or practical job unless you have been authorised to do so by Boiler Academy or the relevant supervising professional.‌‌‌‌

You must comply with all site rules, safeguarding requirements, confidentiality obligations, health and safety instructions, customer privacy requirements, and instructions from the supervising professional.‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy does not guarantee that any learner will receive work, paid jobs, customer leads, employment, apprenticeships, mentorship, site access, or practical placements.‌‌‌‌

Where opportunities involve third-party customers, contractors, mentors, employers, landlords, homeowners, suppliers, or service providers, Boiler Academy is not responsible for the acts, omissions, negligence, payment decisions, employment decisions, or conduct of those third parties unless required by law.‌‌‌‌

12. Certificates, Badges and CPD Records‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may issue certificates of completion, digital badges, CPD-style records, attendance certificates, or internal achievement badges for certain courses or training activities.‌‌‌‌

These certificates are evidence that you completed the relevant Boiler Academy learning activity. They are not the same as a regulated qualification, ACS assessment, Gas Safe registration, licence, manufacturer accreditation, or government-approved certification unless this is clearly stated in writing for a specific course.‌‌‌‌

We may refuse, withdraw, correct, or reissue a certificate if we reasonably believe that:‌‌‌‌

  • The learner did not complete the required activity;‌‌‌‌
  • The certificate was issued in error;‌‌‌‌
  • The account was shared or misused;‌‌‌‌
  • The learner breached these Terms and Conditions;‌‌‌‌
  • There is evidence of cheating, false information, misconduct, or unsafe behaviour.‌‌‌‌

You must not misrepresent a Boiler Academy certificate, badge, or completion record as a legal qualification, Gas Safe registration, formal licence, or regulated certification.‌‌‌‌

13. Prices and Payments‌‌‌‌

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) unless stated otherwise.‌‌‌‌

Prices may be shown for individual courses, bundles, memberships, lifetime access plans, workshops, in-person sessions, templates, resources, or other offers.‌‌‌‌

We reserve the right to change our prices, offers, discounts, payment plans, bundles, and membership options at any time. Price changes will not normally affect purchases already completed unless the relevant offer clearly states otherwise.‌‌‌‌

Payment must be made using the payment methods made available at checkout.‌‌‌‌

You agree that all payment information provided by you is accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.‌‌‌‌

We may use third-party payment processors. We do not store full card details unless this is handled securely by an authorised payment provider.‌‌‌‌

Where VAT or other taxes apply, these will be handled according to applicable law and may be shown at checkout, on invoices, or within the payment process.‌‌‌‌

14. Lifetime Access, Pro+ and Promotional Offers‌‌‌‌

Where Boiler Academy offers “lifetime access”, “Pro+”, “founder access”, “early access”, or similar long-term access plans, this means access for the lifetime of the relevant Boiler Academy product, platform, course bundle, mobile app access layer, or offer, subject to these Terms and Conditions.‌‌‌‌

Lifetime access does not mean your biological lifetime, the lifetime of Gas Certify Ltd, the lifetime of the internet, the lifetime of a specific app-store listing, or the lifetime of any third-party platform. It means ongoing access for as long as Boiler Academy continues to operate and support the relevant product, service, membership, platform, or course collection in substantially similar form.‌‌‌‌

Lifetime access may be affected by:‌‌‌‌

  • Platform changes;‌‌‌‌
  • Mobile app changes;‌‌‌‌
  • Course replacement or restructuring;‌‌‌‌
  • Business restructuring;‌‌‌‌
  • Technical limitations;‌‌‌‌
  • Legal or regulatory changes;‌‌‌‌
  • Closure of a specific course, product, app, platform, or service;‌‌‌‌
  • Breach of these Terms and Conditions.‌‌‌‌

Where possible, if a platform or mobile app changes, we may move your access to an alternative platform, replacement learning area, updated course bundle, web-based access, or comparable learning experience.‌‌‌‌

Promotional offers, discounts, early access prices, launch offers, founder deals, bonuses, and limited-time benefits are subject to the specific terms shown at the time of purchase.‌‌‌‌

Unless stated otherwise, promotional offers cannot be combined, transferred, exchanged for cash, backdated, or applied after purchase.‌‌‌‌

15. Subscriptions and Recurring Payments‌‌‌‌

If Boiler Academy offers a subscription, recurring membership, or payment plan, the specific billing frequency, amount, renewal terms, cancellation method, and access rules will be shown at checkout or in the relevant offer.‌‌‌‌

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us or our payment processor to take recurring payments from your selected payment method until you cancel or the subscription ends.‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the next billing date if you no longer wish to continue.‌‌‌‌

Failure to use the platform, mobile app, watch lessons, attend sessions, or access resources does not automatically cancel your subscription or entitle you to a refund.‌‌‌‌

If a payment fails, we may restrict or suspend access until payment is completed.‌‌‌‌

16. Consumer Cancellation Rights‌‌‌‌

If you are buying as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel certain online purchases within 14 days.‌‌‌‌

For digital content, including online courses, downloadable resources, video training, templates, mobile app learning content, and Learning Hub access, you may lose your right to cancel once digital content access begins if:‌‌‌‌

  • You expressly agree to immediate access before the end of the 14-day cancellation period; and‌‌‌‌
  • You acknowledge that you will lose your cancellation right once access begins.‌‌‌‌

Where the checkout process asks you to confirm immediate access to digital content, you agree that access may begin immediately and that your cancellation right may end once access is provided.‌‌‌‌

If you do not agree to immediate access, we may delay access until the cancellation period has passed.‌‌‌‌

For services or in-person training booked online, you may have cancellation rights depending on the timing of the booking, whether the service has started, and the specific terms of the booking.‌‌‌‌

Your statutory rights are not affected.‌‌‌‌

17. Refund Policy‌‌‌‌

Our refund policy depends on the type of product or service purchased.‌‌‌‌

17.1 Online Courses, Memberships and Digital Content‌‌‌‌

Due to the nature of digital content, refunds may not be available once access has started, where you gave consent to immediate access and acknowledged that your cancellation right would be lost.‌‌‌‌

We may, at our discretion, consider refund requests where:‌‌‌‌

  • You were charged in error;‌‌‌‌
  • Duplicate payment was made;‌‌‌‌
  • You were unable to access the course because of a technical issue caused by us and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time;‌‌‌‌
  • A specific refund guarantee was clearly included in the offer at the time of purchase.‌‌‌‌

17.2 In-Person Training‌‌‌‌

Refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling for in-person training will depend on the specific event terms shown at the time of booking.‌‌‌‌

Unless stated otherwise:‌‌‌‌

  • You may request to reschedule if you give at least 7 days’ notice before the training date;‌‌‌‌
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability;‌‌‌‌
  • Non-attendance without notice may result in loss of the booking fee;‌‌‌‌
  • We may refuse repeated rescheduling requests;‌‌‌‌
  • We may offer an alternative date, credit, or refund if we cancel a session.‌‌‌‌

17.3 Payment Plans‌‌‌‌

If you buy through a payment plan, you remain responsible for completing the agreed payments unless the offer clearly states otherwise or you have a valid legal right to cancel.‌‌‌‌

Stopping use of the course or membership does not automatically cancel remaining payment obligations.‌‌‌‌

17.4 No Refund for Misuse‌‌‌‌

We do not provide refunds where access is suspended or terminated because of breach of these Terms and Conditions, account sharing, abusive behaviour, misuse of content, unsafe conduct, fraud, or unlawful activity.‌‌‌‌

18. Course Changes, Availability and Platform Updates‌‌‌‌

We may update, amend, replace, restructure, rename, merge, expand, remove, or archive courses, modules, lessons, resources, videos, downloads, community areas, and mobile app features.‌‌‌‌

We may do this to improve training quality, update outdated information, correct errors, respond to regulatory or manufacturer changes, improve user experience, or support platform development.‌‌‌‌

We do not guarantee that any specific course, video, lesson, tutor, resource, platform layout, mobile app feature, or community area will remain available forever.‌‌‌‌

If a paid course is removed entirely and no similar replacement is provided, we may, at our discretion, offer alternative access, credit, partial refund, or another suitable remedy depending on the circumstances.‌‌‌‌

19. Community Areas and User Conduct‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may provide discussion areas, community channels, comments, live chat, groups, forums, mobile app communities, or similar interactive features.‌‌‌‌

You agree to use these areas professionally and respectfully.‌‌‌‌

You must not post, share, upload, or communicate anything that:‌‌‌‌

  • Is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or deliberately offensive;‌‌‌‌
  • Encourages unsafe, illegal, or unqualified trade work;‌‌‌‌
  • Gives dangerous technical advice without proper context or competence;‌‌‌‌
  • Breaches another person’s privacy or confidentiality;‌‌‌‌
  • Contains personal data about customers, homeowners, landlords, tenants, engineers, or third parties without permission;‌‌‌‌
  • Contains spam, misleading claims, scams, or unauthorised promotions;‌‌‌‌
  • Infringes intellectual property rights;‌‌‌‌
  • Contains viruses, malware, tracking tools, or harmful code;‌‌‌‌
  • Damages the reputation, safety, or operation of Boiler Academy, Gas Certify Ltd, other members, or third parties.‌‌‌‌

We may monitor, moderate, edit, hide, or remove User Content at our discretion.‌‌‌‌

We may suspend or remove users who act abusively, dangerously, dishonestly, unlawfully, or against the purpose of the Learning Hub.‌‌‌‌

20. User Content Licence‌‌‌‌

You retain ownership of User Content that you post or submit, subject to any rights already owned by others.‌‌‌‌

By posting or submitting User Content, you grant Boiler Academy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, publish, and share that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, improve, and deliver Boiler Academy services.‌‌‌‌

This may include using feedback, testimonials, comments, screenshots, posts, questions, or success stories for educational, community, marketing, or improvement purposes, unless you clearly tell us not to use your personal identity in that way.‌‌‌‌

You confirm that you have the right to share any User Content you submit and that your content does not breach any law, confidentiality obligation, privacy right, intellectual property right, or third-party right.‌‌‌‌

21. Reviews, Testimonials and Case Studies‌‌‌‌

If you provide a review, testimonial, video feedback, written feedback, comment, success story, or case study, you allow us to use it for Boiler Academy marketing, course improvement, social proof, website content, emails, presentations, app-store previews, and related promotional materials.‌‌‌‌

We may edit testimonials for spelling, grammar, length, clarity, and formatting, but we will not intentionally change the meaning.‌‌‌‌

If we want to use your full name, business name, photograph, video image, or identifiable customer/job details, we may ask for additional permission where appropriate.‌‌‌‌

You must not submit false, misleading, staged, copied, or unlawful testimonials.‌‌‌‌

22. Intellectual Property‌‌‌‌

All Boiler Academy content, branding, logos, course names, training frameworks, written materials, videos, diagrams, worksheets, templates, downloads, graphics, quizzes, certificates, platform content, app content, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Gas Certify Ltd / Boiler Academy unless stated otherwise.‌‌‌‌

This includes the ‌‌‌‌Boiler Academy‌‌‌‌ name, branding, course structure, training methods, learning pathways, and the ‌‌‌‌F.L.A.M.E. Method™‌‌‌‌.‌‌‌‌

You may use Boiler Academy materials only for your own personal learning, professional development, and internal reference.‌‌‌‌

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish, licence, display publicly, or create derivative works from Boiler Academy content without written permission.‌‌‌‌

You must not use Boiler Academy branding, logos, certificates, badges, or materials in a way that suggests partnership, accreditation, employment, approval, or endorsement unless we have given written permission.‌‌‌‌

23. Third-Party Platforms, Links and Tools‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may use or link to third-party platforms, tools, payment processors, video hosts, app stores, calendar systems, email platforms, community software, analytics tools, or external websites.‌‌‌‌

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, terms, privacy policies, pricing, app-store approval decisions, or actions of third-party platforms.‌‌‌‌

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.‌‌‌‌

We may change third-party providers at any time where needed to operate, improve, or secure our services.‌‌‌‌

24. Technical Requirements‌‌‌‌

You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable device, internet connection, browser, software, email access, mobile device, app-store access, operating system, and technical setup to access Boiler Academy services.‌‌‌‌

We are not responsible for your inability to access content due to your device, internet connection, browser settings, email filters, workplace restrictions, third-party platform issues, app-store restrictions, or outdated software.‌‌‌‌

We may provide reasonable support where access issues are caused by our systems, but we do not guarantee compatibility with every device, browser, operating system, mobile device, app version, or network.‌‌‌‌

25. Acceptable Use‌‌‌‌

You must not use our website, Learning Hub, mobile app, or services to:‌‌‌‌

  • Break the law;‌‌‌‌

26. Affiliate, Referral and Partner Programmes‌‌‌‌

Boiler Academy may offer affiliate, referral, ambassador, partner, or promotional programmes.‌‌‌‌

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.‌‌‌‌

29. Limitation of Liability‌‌‌‌

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.‌‌‌‌
